Business Consultant Process Optimization Toronto

Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada, is seeking an experienced Business Consultant to specialize in Business Discovery and Optimization. This is a crucial 12-month contract role based in Toronto following a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office per week). You will be key in identifying opportunities and designing future-state processes to drive operational efficiency across the organization.

Essential Requirements

  • Process Engineering: 3+ years of direct process engineering experience utilizing methodologies such as Lean and/or Six Sigma.
  • Tool Proficiency: 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Visio and the Microsoft O365 Suite.
  • Collaboration Tools: 2+ years of experience with digital collaboration tools such as FigJam or Mural.
  • Process Translation: Strong ability to quickly understand high-level concepts and translate them into detailed process maps for opportunity identification.
  • Design & Problem Solving: Experience designing future-state processes and knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems.

Qualifications and Assets

  • Education: Degree or diploma in Business, Arts, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry Experience (Nice-to-Have): Prior experience in a Financial Institution/Banking environment, including knowledge of call centers, back office, and/or Banking Center processing environments.
  • Certification (Nice-to-Have): Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
  • Change Management (Nice-to-Have): Knowledge of people change management concepts.

Compensation and Work Details

  • Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid: 3 days in office per week).
  • Pay Rate: $60 per hour.
  • Duration: 12-month temporary contract.
